Village accountant killed in car-scooter collision

Puttur: A 28-year-old youth died of fatal head injury after a car rammed into his two-wheeler at Thingaladi of Kedambadi village in Puttur taluk on Sunday night.

The deceased SB Sudesh Rai, son of late Guddappa Rai of Keyyur was working as village accountant at Punacha.

According to reports the car, moving towards Kumbra collided head-on into the scooter driven by Sudesh at Thingaladi here. Fearing public wrath, the car driver absconded from the spot leaving his car behind. Locals rushed a grievously injured Sudesh to a hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.

A case has been registered at Sampya police station.
