J-K:Encounter breaks out between security forces, militants

Srinagar: An encounter broke out between militants and security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kulgam district Sunday, police said.
A cordon and search operation was launched in the Laroo area in south Kashmir this morning following specific information about the presence of militants in the area, a police official said.
He said as the forces were conducting searches, the militants fired on them, and an encounter broke out.
The gunfight is going on. Further details are awaited, the official said.
