Village accountant, librarian booked under POSCO Act

Udupi: A village accountant and a librarian at the Hejamady gram panchayat were arrested under the Pocso Act on charges of sexually harassing a minor girl.
Kumaraswamy, 27, a native of Mandya and his associate Kishori, 35 are the arrested.
According to the police, Kishori had acted as a mediator between the village accountant and the minor girl. Reportedly, Kumaraswamy, who had assumed charge as the village accountant here around a year back had procured the cell number of the girl when she had approached him to get rectify land documents.
Later he began sending her vulgar messages and had reportedly even misbehaved with her. The girl brought this to the notice of her parents and a complaint was subsequently lodged with the Padubidri police.
