Bengaluru: Union parliamentary affairs minister H.N. Ananth Kumar’s health condition is perilous said BJP sources. Ananth Kumar is currently undergoing treatment for pancreatic cancer at a private hospital in the city. Kumar had come down to the city a few days ago after undergoing treatment in London and New York.
Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan and Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh had visited Ananth Kumar in the hospital. On Monday, October 29 Union Health Minister Dr J.P. Nadda also visited Ananth Kumar and discussed his health conditions.
Ananth Kumar also handles the chemicals and fertilisers portfolio in the Narendra Modi Cabinet.
Earlier there was some speculation that his health is becoming progressively worse but the hospital remained tight-lipped about his health status, while the Union Minister official sources informed that he was stable and was responding to treatment.
There was a news spread that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would visit Mr Kumar on Tuesday or Wednesday but there is no official confirmation about this yet.
