Cong registers win in Ballari; Reddy’s ousted from home turf

Ballari: Ballari Congress candidate VS Ugrappa registered massive victory over BJP candidate V Shantha thus managing to end the reign of the Reddy brothers in their home turf.

Ugrappa defeated Shantha, a former parliamentarian and sister of BJP leader B Sriramulu, aide of Reddy brothers with a margin of 2,43,161 votes.

The counting of votes for Lok Sabha and Assembly seats in Karnataka bypolls began on Tuesday morning.
