Mangaluru: The repair work of the Shiradi Ghat road is is nearing completion and will be open the passage of heavy vehicles from November 12th, informed Deputy Commissioner Sasikanth Senthil on Wednesday, November 7th.
The DC spoke to reporters at his office and said that the heavy vehicles will not be allowed in Shiradi Ghat during Deepavali as it may lead to a rush due to holidays.
Lack of communication between L&T and the NHAI was the reason for the suspension of the Gundia- BC Road development works, said the DC and added that he hoped the work would begin soon.
