Kasaragod: With stagnant polluted water, the area is filled with foul smell and thus the area in the vicinity of the new bus stand at Kasaragod is facing a severe situation of health problems. Polluted water remains stagnant beside the new bus stop facing the national highway and causing much trouble to the public and traders alike.
An auto-rickshaw stand is nearby to this place and the situation is such that one has to close ones nostrils to escape from the foul smell. This area is filled with pedestrians and the vehicles passing by here splash the dirty water and also the pedestrians are forced to walk through the polluted water.
During rains, the water from here flows to various locations and can cause the spread of various epidemic diseases. This is an area, where thousands of people pass through every day, also officials and guests visit the area, yet it is surprising that no action has been initiated to clean the area and get rid og the stagnant polluted water.
