12 achievers chosen for Alva’s Nudisiri Award 2018

Moodabidri: Twelve eminent persons, chosen for their contributions to the fields of art, literature and culture will be conferred with the Alva’s Nudisiri Award at the valedictory ceremony of the Alva’s Nudisiri programme on November 18, informed Alva’s Education Foundation president, Dr. M. Mohan Alva.
Speaking to reporters here on Wednesday, Dr M. Mohan Alva said that Dr. G.D. Joshi Mumbai (Literature, Education), Dr. A.V. Narasimhamurthy Mysuru (Archeologist), Dr. Bharathi Vishnuvardhan Bengaluru (Cinema), Dr. Arundhati Nag (Theatre), L. Bande Nawaz Kalief Aldala Kalaburgi (Theatre Direction), Dr. K. Ramananda Banari Kasaragod (Literature), Dr. Narahalli Balasubramanya (Literature, Criticism), Prof. A.V. Navada Mangaluru (Literature), Fa. Prashanth Madta (Literature), H.N. Raghavendra (Light Music), Aruva Koragappa Shetty (Yakshagana), Dr. Mysuru Nataraj Washington (Literature) have been chosen for the award.
The award consists of a Rs 25,000 cash prize, citation and memento, he added.
Alva’s Nudisiri Reception Committee secretary Venugopal Shetty, Alvas Education Foundation PRO Dr. Padmanabha Shenoy were present at the press conference.
