Teen falls out of BMTC bus, gets crushed under wheel

Bengaluru: In a tragic incident, a 17-year-old girl student was killed after she fell off a BMTC bus and came under its wheels near Sondekuppa Road in Nelamangala traffic police station limits on Tuesday.

The deceased Shushmita is a second PU student of Basaveshwara Women’s PU College.

The incident took place on Tuesday evening at around 4:30 pm when Sushmita was returning home from her college. According to the police, Sushmita who was standing near the front door of the bus fell off the bus, having slipped and came under the front wheel of the bus. She was killed on the spot, they said. 
 
Nelamangala traffic police rushed to the spot, shifted the body to a hospital for post-mortem. The bus driver, Ramesh has been arrested by the police.
