Mangaluru: The Care Child Cancer (CCC) Website of the Centre for Development Studies and Education (CEDSE) was launched by former MLA J R Lobo at Roshni Nilaya on Wednesday November 14th. Centre for Development Studies and Education (CEDSE) Care Child Cancer is a registered charitable trust.
Mr Lobo addressed the gathering and said, “This is a meaningful programme. Strength lies in doing small works with love. Cancer is a disease that has spread all over the country. Close to 45,000 children below the age of 18 suffer from cancer. This number is a matter of concern. Doctors are trying their level best in preventing the disease. At the same time, we should think how we can come forward to prevent this disease.”
“We can see the condition of cancer patients, emotionally, mentally or economically. It is not only the patients who suffer, but their whole family suffers due to the disease. We cannot see the pain of cancer patients. This website can help donors to come forward for the assistance of cancer patients,” he added.
The chief coordinator of CEDSE Herald Moras spoke about the website and said, “This website will spread awareness through articles related to cancer and about preventive measures. It will be a knowledge sharing tool which will support cancer affected children in their education by providing financial support.”
