Bengaluru: KPCC president Dinesh Gundu Rao on Wednesday, November 14 said that the state government’s decision of arresting journalist Santhosh Thammaiah for his controversial remarks against Tipu Sultan is absolutely correct.

Rao stated that arresting someone who intentionally disturbed the communal harmony is not a mistake. “It is the responsibility of the state government to take action against those who disturb the communal harmony. Political rivals of the coalition government are simply trying to make this issue big and trying spoil our name,” he told.

Reacting to the same issue Deputy Chief Minister Dr G Parameshwar said that he had directed the police to maintain a strict vigil and act sternly against anyone who tried to disturb communal harmony.
