Udupi: The deputy commissioner of the district has issued a notification, making temporary changes in the traffic movement as road work has been undertaken on national highway stretch between Kadiyali here and Manipal.
The buses coming into the city from the direction of Manipal have to take the route of MGM College, take right turn at Sudhindrateertha Marg, move via Sharada Mantap, Beedinagudde, Mission Compound, and reach bus stand via Lions Circle. However, the buses going towards Manipal, Karkala, Shivamogga etc from here can move from service bus stand via city bus sand, Kalsanka, Kadiyali, M G M College etc as per usual.
Meanwhile, other vehicles moving between the city and Manipal will move under two-way system in place of one way.
The changes made by the DC are in effect following the decision taken after discussions at a meeting of KSRTC officials, office bearers of city bus owners/drivers association, and bus agents association at the office of the superintendent of police here.
