Truck rams into auto ferrying school children; 1 killed, 5 injured

Kasargod: In a tragic mishap an auto driver was killed and five students were injured when a truck rammed into their auto rickshaw on Tuesday.

The deceased has been identified as Ansar(35)  of Periatadka. Anamika, Fatima Sayeeda, Rubina Mohammed, Siyan, K Asna, all of whom are aged six years, sustained injuries in the mishap and have been admitted to the hospital.

The accident took place at around 11 am when the truck laden with JCB machine rammed into the auto ferrying the school children at Kuni on the national highway.

Vidyanagar police registered a case.
