20-year-old youth beheads father

Mandya: In a horrific incident, a 20-year-old youth allegedly beheaded his father on Saturday, November 24 and surrendered before the Kikkeri Police Station, with the severed head in his hand.

The accused has been identified as Dayananda and Manju Nayaka (48) is deceased.

On Saturday morning, Manju picked up a quarrel with his son under the influence of alcohol. Dayananda who was fed up with his father’s torture tied Manju’s legs and hands of his father beheaded him at home. Later, Dayananda covered the head in a towel and brought it to the police station

Notably, this is the fourth such incident to be reported across the state of Karnataka in recent days and second in Mandya District.
