Illegal sand transportation: Six arrested, sand worth Rs 1.25 cr seized

Mangaluru: Konaje police arrested six persons involved in illegal transportation of sand from near Talapadi Tollgate under Ullal police station limits in the wee hours of Monday, November 26.
Six truck-loads of sand, valuing Rs 1.25 crore was confiscated during the operation.
A team of police personnel comprising AC Rama Rao of Mangalore South sub-division, Konaje police inspector Ravi Naik, constables Ashok Kumar, and driver Jnyanaprakash participated in the operation.
