BJP government looted thousands of crores in the name of crop insurance: Sachin Meega

Bengaluru: The central government is cheating the farmer by looting thousands of crores from them in the name of crop insurance alleged KPCC Kisan unit president Sachin Meega on Tuesday, November 27.
Addressing press persons after releasing a CD on the scams of the BJP government he claimed that Rs fifteen thousand crore irregularities have taken place in the name of crop insurance. “The BJP government led by Modi is cheating the farmers of the nation. Farmers are the backbone of our country but the central government is cheating them,” he added
He further informed that Fasal Bhima scheme was implemented to benefit the insurance companies of Adani and Ambani. Out of the Rs. 20,000 crore of insurance premium gathered from farmers in 2014-15, only Rs 5,000 crore compensation has been given to the farmers. He further questioned where has the remaining Rs 15,000 crore gone, Sachin asked.
He also accused the central government by stating that Fasal Bhima scheme was a bigger scam than the Rafale Deal.
