Murder threats, extortion calls to husband case – father-in-law granted bail, search continues for others

Mangaluru: Vasudeva Prabhu, who is the father of Ambika Nayak, who is the woman accused of extorting money from her husband with the threat of murder has been granted conditional bail by the Court on Saturday Dec 1st. However, the main accused Ambika and her friend and associate in the crime B Manjunath are still at large.

The Court granted the bail on a bond of Rs 1 lakh and one surety. The Court has also warned Vasudeva to not to try and destroy any evidence and compulsorily attend for inquiry in connection to the case whenever summoned.

It is being said that Ambika Nayak and B Manjunath are hiding somewhere in and around Manipal and police are hunting them down.
