Skeletal remains of missing couple found in field

Kalaburagi: A married couple who had been missing since November 2, were found dead on Friday, November 30 evening.
The deceased are identified as Ajay Kale (30) and Jyoti (24) hailing from Nidagunda village of Chincholi taluk. The duo had got married two years ago. They had gone missing since November 2, following which Ajay’s mother had lodged a complaint against the brothers of Jyoti with the Sulepet police. In her complaint, she alleged that they kidnapped the couple for ‘bride money’. As per the Mangarudi community to which Ajay belonged there is a practice of giving bride-money.
However, the Sulepet police had registered case a missing persons case. Meanwhile, the parents lodged a complaint against Sulepet police for not registering a kidnap case.
Recently when the police were investigating a murder case of an unknown woman they found the skeletons of the couple in the field. After a test, it had been confirmed that the skeletons found in the field were of Ajay and Jyothi.
As per the sources Ajay before coming to his hometown Nidagunda was working with a gang of robbers in Maharastra.
