Pilgrim drowns at Udupi temple pond!

Udupi: A pilgrim drowned while taking bath at the Shri Krishna Math’s Madhwa Sarovar at around 5:30 am in the morning of Monday, December 3rd.

The fire service personnel rushed to the spot and commenced an operation to recover the mortal remains of the drowned pilgrim but were unsuccessful. Finally, diver Arun Kumar Dendurukatte was successful in diving to the bottom of the pond and recovering the corpse.

The deceased is identified as Adarsh (39) from Vidyanagara 4th cross, Shimoga based on the address given by the deceased at the guest house. The relatives need to contact the Citizen Help Centre at the district hospital or the Udupi city police station stated a release.
