Woman killed after being knocked down by bus

Bantwal: A 26-year-old woman was killed on the spot after being knocked down by a private bus at Guddeangadi near Panemangaluru here on Monday, November 3 night.

Ruksana, wife of Attaullah of Bogadi near Melkar is the deceased person.

On Monday, Ruksana along with her husband and two children had gone out shopping. She was standing by the roadside to cross the road when the speeding bus is said to have knocked her down, killing her on the spot. Her husband and two children escaped unhurt as they crossed the road already. 

Negligent driving on part of the bus driver is said to be the reason for the accident. Melkar traffic SI Manjula and staff visited the spot and registered a case.
