Mangaluru: Ambika Nayak who is chief accused in the murder threat and extortion of huge amounts of money from her husband is reportedly being sheltered by a person who is already an accused in two other cases.
The continuous efforts by the police to nab the main accused Ambika and her friend accomplice B Manjunath who are absconding and are wanted in connection to the threat calls and extortion case of her husband have discovered a new lead.
According to police sources, a person who is facing two cases registered in Padubidri police station in the year 2017-18, has provided shelter to Ambika. The accused is from Shirva and lives in a rented house near Hiriyadka. Apparently, Ambika is hiding there with his support.
The case has now taken a new turn since now, Ambika has been sheltered by another person who is already charged with offences.
It is presumed that since it takes several days for the process of getting anticipatory bail application filed, it is presumed that Ambika has decided to hole up in the house of a person known to her for the time being.
