Kundapur: Three more weeks are required to give permission for the extraction of sand from non-CRZ areas, said Udupi deputy commissioner, Priyanka Mary Francis speaking with the reporters on Saturday December 9th.
The DC said that 5 people have been given permission in the form of tender in CRZ area. There is information that at some places there are hindrances. If a written complaint is given, opportunity will be given for sand mining under police protection. After the permission has been given, there cannot be any hindrances.
