Mangaluru: If the Congress High Command issued him a ticket, he would be ready to contest the next upcoming Lok Sabha election, informed the former union minister and Congress senior leader B Janardhana Poojary.
Mr Poojary spoke to reports after distributing fruits to the inmates of the orphanage ‘Prashanth Nivas’ in Jeppu Seminary to mark the birthday celebration of Congress Supremo Sonia Gandhi on Sunday Dec 9th.
“If they are ready to provide me ticket, I will definitely contest in the election,” he said.
“In order to get success in the election, every worker should work hard. Unless and until we win over the confidence of the people, we will not get success in the election,” said Mr Poojary asking all Congress workers to work hard and obtain the trust of the people.
Will stick to my words on Ram Mandir
To a question on his recent statement on Ram Mandir that it should be created at Ayodhya only and that everyone should extend their support for the same, Poojary clarified that he has no regret and will stand by his words. “If anyone wants to encounter me, let them do it, but I will not step back from my words,” he declared his stand.
