Youth from Udupi found dead at accommodation in Muscat

Udupi/Muscat: A youth employed as an accountant in Muscat, Sultanate of Oman, was found dead in his room on Sunday, December 9. The deceased is identified as Guruprasad Upadhya (27).
Mr Guru hails from Udupi was a student of St Mary’s College, Shirva and Milagres Junior College, Kallianpur. He completed his schooling from the Poorna Prajna College, Udupi.
According to the available information, the cause for his death is supposed to be a heart attack. It is said that Guru has previously had epileptic seizures. However, he was perfectly fit and worked on Saturday until evening and went to rest as usual.
As per details given by Dilip Correa who had employed the deceased as an accountant, he had called Guru as for the past couple of years after he did not report to the office as per the office schedule, but did not receive any response. Further inquiry revealed that Guru had gone to sleep in his room as usual, but did not open the door. Upon reaching his accommodation, it was found that the door was locked from inside and the door had to be broken open, where Guru was found motionless on his bed. Paramedics who arrived at the venue pronounced him dead.
Arrangements are under way for the repatriation of the mortal remains of the deceased and is expected to happen tomorrow.
