Mangaluru: Eight fishermen of Tamil Nadu origin were rescued on Monday, December 10 morning were rescued after their trawler boat sank off the Arabian coast some 50 km from here.
The boat ‘Mother India’ that had left for fishing expedition four days back developed a technical snag mid-sea. Seeing the fishermen in distress, a few boats that were nearby rushed to their aid and rescued the men on board the boat.
Though attempts were made to tug the boat to safety, the same did not yield a result.
