Youth killed after being run over by train at Manipal

Manipal: A 21-year-old youth was killed after being run over by a train ran at Indrali here on Friday, December 7.
The deceased identified as Nagaraj was employed as a labourer.
Reportedly Nagaraj had been assigned the job of removing gravel on the railway track here. He was so occupied with his work that he did not notice the approaching Madgaon-Mangaluru DEMU train (train number 70105), coming from Barkur even though other workers shouted to alert him.
He died owing to the serious head injuries sustained in the accident, informed the police.
A case of unnatural death was registered at the Manipal police station.
