Anti-rowdy squad nabs two chain snatchers

Mangaluru: In connection with the chain-snatching incidents in the city, the anti-rowdy squad police on Monday apprehended two persons and recovered 126.960-gram gold worth Rs 3.64 lakh and one scooter from their possession.

Harish S Nath (45) of Jeppu Bappala and Rajesh (45) of Bajal are the arrested persons. 

Cases were registered against the duo at Urva, Kadri, Kavoor, Barke and South police stations.

Under the guidance of Mangaluru city police commissioner TR Suresh, DCP Hanumantharaya, Uma Prashanth, ACP Bhaskar Vokkaliga, Anti-rowdy squad police inspector Raveesh S Nayak, DySP Pradeep TR and staff Valentine George D’Souza, Gangadhar N, Santosh Sasihithlu, Kishore Kotian, Pramod Maryhill, Nagaraj Chandaragi, Basavaraj Naik and others were participated in the operation.
