One dead in gas tanker-lorry collision

Sakaleshpur: The driver of the gas tanker was killed after the gas tanker collided with the container lorry near Kollahalli on Bengaluru-Mangaluru national highway.
The deceased is identified as Abdul Rehman (28), a native of Tamil Nadu.
While the driver of the tanker tried to overtake a KSRTC bus it rammed against the container coming from the opposite direction. The front portion of the tanker was completely damaged as the result the driver’s leg got severed killing him on the spot.
The gas tanker was bound for Hassan, while the container lorry was moving towards Sakleshpur, informed sources.
30 passengers of the KSRTC bus had a narrow escape as the tanker also hit the bus.
