Car-scooter accident leaves rider with a fracture

Puttur: In a head on collision between a car and a scooter at Kemmal has left the scoter rider with a fractured leg. Apparently both the vehicles were over speeding which led top the accident. The injured scooter rider is identified as Ismail, a resident of Attur.

The car which was proceeding towards Uppinangady from Puttur hit the oncoming scooter while it was attempting to overtake a lorry. The impact of the collision was such that the rider was ejected off of his scooter which then got dragged away beneath the wheels of the lorry beside the car, narrowly missing the bike rider. The accident resulted in the scooter rider fracturing one of his legs.

The injured Ismail has been admitted to a hospital in Mangaluru for further treatment.
