Hampankatte: The dysfunctional taps in the restroom at the outpatient department of the district government Wenlock hospital have been replaced with new and functional taps. Besides, the water facility through them is for now, functioning well.
On Nov 30th, ‘Udayavani’ had published a special report on the dysfunctional state of the water tap and the broken down flush system in the loo for the outpatient department at the hospital which was causing much problem to the patients as well as those accompanying them. After the report was published, the officials responsible for the hospital work up and replaced the old taps with new functional ones. But, of the three dysfunctional taps in the ladies restroom, two have been repaired; however the third tap still remains spoilt with the whole tap turning along with its head when turned.
The flush problem persists
In the report, it was also pointed out that the pipe connecting to the flush system in the toilets had broken apart and that the pieces of rusted iron were strewn around. But the problem has not been dealt with and it persists.
