Dharwad: A 48-year-old hotelier’s dead body was found in his apartment complex at Huballi on Thursday morning.
The deceased identified as Sameera Ramachandra Uchila was a hotelier by profession. He owned the Woodland hotel in Hubbali and was running a restaurant named “Bougain villa” in the town.
Meanwhile Sameera’s wife Ashwini has raised suspicions on the death of her husband.
It is gathered that Sameera was returned home at around 1am after the close of business at “bougain villa” restaurant. A CCTV footage of the apartment shows him entering the apartment in his car at 1am. Later, his dead body was found by the security guard near the generator control room of the Akruthi garden apartment. Mysteriously, the body bore no serious marks except for some scratches on the right side of his face presumably when his face may have rubbed against the wall when he fell down. It is said that Sameera had 60000 rupees in his pocket.
Ashwini had left to Vijayanagara along with their children earlier that day and Sameera’s father had been to their native place Bengaluru. As Ashwini suspected foul play in her husband’s death, she filed a complaint at Ashoknagar police station.
Police have already started their investigations and the reasons for the death is yet to be ascertained.
