No opposition to construction of Ram Mandir at Ayodhya: JD(S)

Mangaluru: “Ram Mandir should be constructed at Ayodhya as no one is opposing its construction. Even Muslims have not stated their opposition. It should be constructed by taking people into confidence, with an open dialogue so that there is no trouble in its construction,” said Dakshina Kannada JD(S) President Mohammed Kunhi.
“If no one is opposing the construction of Ram Mandir, then why is BJP organizing protests and conventions? It’s just to gain political mileage,” he lashed out.
“BJP is ruling in the Centre and even in Uttar Pradesh. Then why has Ram Mandir not been constructed? Modi can visit Abu Dhabi to inaugurate Ram Mandir, then why is he not able to construct it in his own country? In the last four years, BJP did not speak about Ram Mandir. Even Prime Minister Modi did not visit Ayodhya in last four years,” he said taking a dig at the BJP.
“Former minister B Janardhana Poojary has said that Ram Mandir will be built for sure. I don’t know which party Poojary belongs to. When Babri Masjid was demolished he was the one who opposed it and now he says Ram Mandir will be built for sure,” Mr Kunhi pointed out.
JD(S) against the privatization of MIA
“We strongly condemn the privitisation of Mangaluru International Airport and it is totally wrong to do so as it belongs to state government,” said Mohammed Kunhi.
Lok Sabha election
“There are many able leaders like Manjunath Bhandary, Ivan D’souza, M B Sadashiva, Mohiuddin Bava and others in DK district. If we select a candidate from among these leaders with mutual understanding, defeating a BJP candidate would be easier. The always pending work of Pumpwell and Thokkottu flyovers, the pathetic condition of the national highways are enough to reflect the works of MP Nalin Kumar,” said Mr Kunhi.
