Mangaluru: The relocation of the central bus stand at State Bank to another appropriate place and an inspection for the same needs to be taken up at Padil, Pumpwell and Bangra Kulur was the topic discussed during the Smart City Advisory Committee meeting on Saturday Dec 22nd.

During the meeting which was held at the office of the Mangaluru Smart City Company Ltd at the 3rd floor of the Mangaluru City Corporation, discussion was conducted on the various actions taken under the Smart City project. The meeting was presided by Dakshina Kannada deputy Commissioner Sasikanth Senthil.

Several works undertaken under the Smart City project were discussed during the meeting including the creation of Clock Tower at Hampankatte, work on smart city road from Clock Tower to A B Shetty Circle, UGD work in old bunder area, relocation of Central Market, on Pumpwell bus stand which is still in   DPR stage, Hampankatte multi-level car parking and many other issues were discussed.

Mangaluru Smart City Managing director Narayanappa, MCC mayor Bhaskar M, architect Venkatesh Pai, lawyer Satish Bhat, Kanar Chambers of commerce president P B Abdul Hameed, Raghunath Shetty, Premanand Shetty, director Rameeza Banu, MLA Vedavyas Kamath, Dr Y Bharat Shetty, MP Nalin and other officials participated in the meeting.
