Two run over by train while inspecting tracks

Kolar: In a tragic accident, a railway track maintenance worker and a patrolman died on the spot when they were run over by a train in Bangarpert taluk on Thursday, December 27. 

The deceased are Hari Singh Meena of Rajasthan and Ramaswamy of Andhra Pradesh. The incident occurred at a section of the tracks between Varadapura-Bisanatam railway stations. 

Hari Singh in the recent past had detected two track failures. The administration had recently awarded him for the same.

Following the accident, colleagues of Hari and Ramaswamy blamed work pressure for the incident.
