Mangala swimming pool: Work completion by month end; to be opened for public in Feb

Mangaluru: The upgradation work on Mangala swimming pool began three months back has now reached its final stages and is expected to be completed by the end of the month. It will be opened for the use of the public in the month of February, said Mayor Bhaskar K.

He was speaking after visiting and inspecting the work progress at the swimming pool accompanied by officials and said that closed to one-and-a-half crore rupees have been spent for the installation of the latest technology in the water purification system for the swimming pool, including latest technology to treat the water through ozone, for the installation of lane marks in the swimming pool and many other works.  All the work will be completed by the end of this month. Later it will be opened for the public, he informed.
