Post violent incidents during hartal, normalcy returns to Kasaragod

Kasaragod: The tense situation in Kasaragod including sporadic events of violence during the Tursday’s hartal against the historic of two women of menstruating age to the Sabarimala shrine has finally returned back to normal on Friday Jan 4th.

As per usual, all shops and business establishments have opened and vehicles are plying with no hindrances. Manjeshwar taluk too has returned back to normal after witnessing stabbing and other untoward incidents. Holiday has been declared to all schools in the taluk while prohibitory orders under Section 144 have been invoked.

Persons stabbed

Two persons identified as Guruprasad (23) and Kiran Kumar (40)  were stabbed at Manjeshwar  by a group which came in three motorcycles while another person identified as Vasantha was attacked at Kumble Shiriya in Kadambar.
