Bengaluru: Trade bodies, transport employees unions, including KSRTC and BMTC, taxi operators and bank employees union have extended support to a nationwide strike called on Tuesday and Wednesday by various trade bodies.  The two-day strike is likely to throw life out of gear across the state.

It is gathered that as the  KSRTC and BMTC employees union have extended support to the strike, there will be a disruption in bus operations across the state. The two-day bandh is also supported by other smaller transport bodies like autorickshaw unions and taxi operators’ associations, but the Bengaluru-based Adarsha Auto and Taxi Drivers’ Union said they will not take part.

However, the Educational institutions have only expressed moral support, therefore, the respective deputy commissioners will review the situation and take a call on the closure of schools and colleges, informed sources. Bank transactions are likely to be affected in several places as the bank employees union, too is supporting the strike.
