Helicopter tourism in Malpe, Udupi, Manipal

Malpe: All those who keep wishing to sit in a helicopter and fly high in the sky can from Jan 11th onwards, visit the helipad at AdiUdupi, board an helicopter there, fly high in the sky and enjoy the beauty of Udupi from the eagles point-of-view.
Helicopter trips have been organised at the NCC Maidan in AdiUdupi on Jan 11, 12 and 13 from 10 am in the morning to 5 pm in the evening. Viewing Udupi from ground level and from the sky level are two diametrically opposite pleasures. With the aim to attract even more tourists, the district administration along with Mantra Tourism Development and Chipsan Aviation Company have already started heli tourism last year.
The heli tourism will be conducted for 3 days in Kundapur. The chopper trip route will include Udupi, Malpe fisheries port, St Mary’s, Hoode, Manipal and the surrounding areas.
Jolly ride, adventure ride
For those who are wishing to fly on an helicopter, there are two packages top choose from namely the jolly ride and the adventure ride. In jolly ride, the flyer can either select Udupi or Manipal. This will include 8 minutes of flight time. In adventure ride, the flight will be in Udupi or at St Mary’s. In this the flight time will be for 10 minutes and it will also include a bit of stunts. 6 passengers can flight on a single trip. The charge for the jolly ride is Rs 2,500 and for the adventure ride is Rs 3,000. It’s a free entry for children beneath the age of 2 years.
Aim to expand medical tourism
“There is a plan to start heli tourism permanently in Udupi and also there is an aim to expand this into religious tourism for visiting the various religious places and medical tourism for quick health services,” informed Sudesh Shetty, Mantra Toursim Development
