Plot to kill Pro Hindutva leaders: Youth from Kasaragod arrested by Delhi police

Kasaragod/New Delhi: A youth from Kasaragod has been arrested by the New Delhi police in connection to the plot to kill pro Hindutva leaders in Dakshina Kannada district. The arrested is identified as C M Muhatasim alias Tasim (41), a resident of Chembarika near Chemnad in Kasaragod.

They expressed doubts that the accused may have ties with terrorists and have not given any further information. The accused has been presented in the Court and has been taken to Delhi for interrogation.

Arrested on Jan 11th

On request of the Delhi police, Tasim was arrested from Chattamchal by Vidyanagar police on Jan 11th. The next day, Delhi police arrived to Kasaragod and took the arrested into their custody. Central Intelligence officials had also come and conducted interrogation.

Several cases

Several cases have been booked against Tasim including possession of two duplicate passports, barging into a house and carrying out assault and giving threat Vipin when he was the SI of Bekal.

He has also been questioned by the Interpol and the central intelligence in connection to the recruitment of youth by the militant groups from Kashmir. Locally, he is identified as ‘Don’.

Fake Identity Card

The police have informed that Tasim had created an identity card by also affixing Indian government’s stamp. In this fake ID card, he identifies himself as Muhatasim C M Taslim Don (RAW), Kulabhe, near Ganapathi Temple, Bendis House, Mumbai – 40001. This fake identity card resembles the ones given to the officials of the Research and Analysis Wing of the defence force.
