Job Fair: 6,000 names registered so far

Udupi: The Udupi Job Fair being organized by the district administration and ‘Sanchalana’ institution in association with Unnati Career Academy at Ajjarkadu on Jan 19-20 has received good response. Almost 6,000 job aspirants have registered for this event.

This fair which gives opportunity to job aspirants with education lower than SSLC to PG as well as JOC students does not charge any fee for an aspirant’s participation. This is the first time a big job fair is taking place in the district. Though Udupi is ahead educationally, job opportunities here are less and observing this issue, the job fair has been organized, explained Prem Prasad Shetty, convener of Sanchalana Trust.

Job aspirants can register themselves for the job fair through www.nammadeshorem.org or by submitting their applications to Unnati Career Academy, Ashachandra Trade Centre, 2nd floor, PPC 1st Cross, Udupi by Jan 16th. Close to 2,500 students have already been provided training on how to face interviews here.

Almost 150 companies will be participating in the job fair and there are close 5,000 job opportunities. Information on the name of the participating companies, educational qualification, number of openings and designations is available on the website.

Udupi district in-charge minister Dr Jayamala will be inaugurating the job fair at 9:30 am at the Ajjarkadu playground on Jan 19th. The job fair will conclude at 6 pm on Jan 20th.
