Chincholi: A day after two independent MLAs withdrew their support from the coalition government it is now learnt that Congress MLA Dr Umesh Jadhava is too planning to quit the party and join BJP.
The two-time MLA from Chincholi is said to have met Banjara Guru Bapu Ramrao Maharaj and sought his advice on the future course of action during his stay in Maharashtra, stated sources close to Jadhav.
Sources mentioned that the MLA holds the Maharaj in high reverence as it was through his blessings that he emerged victorious in the 2013 assembly elections. Though Jadhav won in his constituency in the 2018 assembly election, former CM Siddaramaiah and KPCC president Dinesh Gundurao did not give him a ministerial berth. Moreover, the government has not released grants for the developmental works in his constituency because of which Jadhav is disgruntled, they added.
It is gathered that Jhadav has held discussions with the BJP MLAs on this matter.
