Police nab bike-lifting duo; recover stolen bikes

Moodbidri: Two youth have been arrested by the police on the charges of stealing two motor bikes from Vidyagiri and Kodyadka respectively about two months back. The two stolen motorcycles have been recovered.
The arrested duo are identified as Manjunath (24) and Imran alias Putta, residents of Gandhinagar and Daddi Cross here respectively.
The arrest
While scrutinizing the vehicles along with other staff near Gandhinagar, police inspector of the town station here, Dejappa, found a motor bike without a number plate with two persons on it. On questioning, the riders reveled that the motorcycle was stolen. Later, another motor bike was recovered from their possession.
Further action is being taken under the guidance of Mangaluru city police commissioner T R Suresh and other senior officials of the department mentioned a release from the police.
It is learn that the theft was caught by the CCTV camera installed in Bharath Chicken Stall at Vidyagiri in the town. The recorded footage also helped the police in this arrest.
