Lorry mows down scooter rider in Belthangady

Belthangady: A scooter rider died on the spot in a lorry scooter accident near Koyyur Cross here on Friday January 25th. The deceased is identified as Chennappa Anchan (57), a resident of Bola Poyyegudde, Padangadi.
The impact of the collision was such that the Honda Activa rider was thrown to the road and only instantly came under the wheels of the lorry, causing grievous injuries that claimed his life on the spot.
The mortal remains of the victim have been shifted to Beltangady government hospital for autopsy.
