Bahubali Mahamasthakabhishekha: 2 floor gallery for viewing the occasion

Belthangady: The construction of the façade is an important part of the preparations for the Mahamasthakabhishekha of Bharvan Sri Bahubali. This construction work occurs in the close vicinity of the monolith and hence great care is taken during the installation work to not to damage the statue while using huge metal rods.
For the current Bahubali Mahamasthakabhishekha, the construction of the façade has started since Dec 1st.
A 62 feet tall façade will be created for the Mahamasthakabhishekha. There is opportunity to conduct the ‘Abhisheka’ from the top 3 floors. There are separate staircases on both the sides. A total of 80 tonnes of iron will be used in its construction. There is a facility of 2 lifts on the backside.
Every floor has a space of 1,500 sq feet. Plywood sheets will be placed as flooring on the erected structure of iron rods and close to 5,500 sq feet of plywood is required to achieve this. 2 cranes have been deployed to erect the metal structure and for other works. All the work is being done based on the blueprint created by the engineers of Vimal Anil Institution.
Creation of gallery
A two floor 20 feet tall viewing gallery will be created on either sides of the statue for the viewing of the Bahubali Mahamasthakabhishekha, the by the public.
18 peoples work
Around 18 people are working continuously on the construction of the façade under the leadership of Mahapadma Prasad, owner of Mahavera Prasad industries at Budoli near Mani in Bantwal along with his brother. This is the third time the brothers are constructing the façade for the Bahubali Mahamasthakabhishekha. Earlier, the façade at the Mahamasthakabhishekha at Karkala and Venoor were constructed by the brothers.
