Demand for toll exemption through semi-nude protest

Padubidri: 23 days have passed since the Karnataka Rakshana Vedike activists started their protest seeking exemption from toll payment at the Hejamady toll booth for vehicles of Padubidri Panchayat limits and three members of the Vedike staged a semi-nude protest by painting their bodies in black on Wednesday January 30th.
The novel protest in the semi-nude by painting their bodies black and placing a begging bowl is been done by Karnataka Rakshana Vedike District President Ansar Ahmed, Taluk unit Chief Sayyed Nizamuddin and Asif. The protest was staged against the apathy of the administration towards the cause despite the protest since nearly a month.
The protest venue was visited by the District Youth Congress President Mithun Rai who pledged his support to the protest.
