Majuru: Burnt corpse of a person found near rail line

Kaup: A burnt body of an unidentified a man aged around 40-45 years has been found near Majaru Railway Bridge on Sunday morning and has given rise to many suspicions.

The corpse was found in a narrow space amidst an outgrowth of plants and brambles, It is not clear if this is a murder or a suicide.

On Sunday, a resident near Majaru railway bridge identified as Ganesh was informed by his daughter of fire at the outgrowth near the bridge. When inspected, the corpse was found burning in the middle of the fire. Immediately he brought the situation to the notice of the locals and then informed the police.

The corpse has been sent to Manipal for autopsy. Suri Shetty and ambulance driver Nagaraj provided assistance.

A few suspicious points

The location were the body was found cannot be access easily by anybody. It seems as if a towel was burnt within the mouth of the corpse. It is being said that, since the corpse was half burnt, the intestine had spilled out of the gut.
