Ravi Poojary DNA match tests positive

- Setback for escape attempt; underworld element scared of death
Mangaluru: Underworld element Ravi Poojay’s DNA has matched with the DNA of his family members and hence the criminal, who is currently incarcerated in Senegal in West Africa, has faced another setback to his attempts to escape from the country by proving that he is Antony Fernandes, a businessman and not the underworld element. On the other hand, the legal process required to extradite the criminal to India has caught pace.
He was arrested in Senegal because of the fake passport he had used bearing the name Antony Fernandes. According to sources, his mother and a sister are living at Noida in New Delhi and the Delhi and Mumbai police, collected their DNA sample and sent to Senegal.
Earlier, Ravi Poojary’s fingerprints had been sent which matched positive.
The criminal seeks life protection
Amidst this Poojary, though his lawyers, has requested with Senegal police for additional security has he fears other underworld elements have made plans to murder him.
He has already revealed enough information to Interpol and local police regarding the terrifying secrets of his underworld activities. There is also information that some high ranking officials of Mumbai police have also joined in with his underworld activities. Important information regarding former underworld elements who are still collecting Hafta has also been revealed by him. Hence, if Ravi Poojary s brought to India for investigation, secrets of even more people may be exposed, is the fear haunting some people now.
It is learnt that due to this reason, plans have been drawn to murder him in Senegal. Getting clue of this development, he has appealed with Court to grant him with additional security, inform sources.
Tight commando security
In accordance to Ravi Poojary’s request, a tight security has been provided to the criminal through Senegal country’s commando unit, informed reliable resources to “Udayavani”.
