Mangaluru: Many organizations came together including political parties, journalists and resident at Kadri War Memorial on Friday February 15 to pay homage to martyrs of the terror attack at Pulwama.

District ex-servicemen association president Sharath Bhandary said, “When our soldiers were unprepared for the attack all of a sudden the attack took place on them. It is sad to know about the deadliest terror attack on our soldiers. People have come together to pay homage to the martyrs in every corner of the country including here. This shows the special respect to our soldiers.”

Speaking on the occasion former MLC Ganesh Karnik said, “This terror attack is a warning message to our country. We should retaliate against the terrorists at the earliest and also should take steps to sort out issues at Kashmir.”

Addressing the gathered, District Youth Congress president Mithun Rai said, “We should join hands together to give justice for those who have been killed in one of the deadliest terror attacks. We should strengthen the hands of our Prime Minister to fight against terrorism, so that such attacks are not repeated in future.”

Candles were lighted and the war memorial was garlanded by the people paying their condolences.
