Hassan: Taking strong objection to BJP president Amit Shah’s ‘Congress party clerk’ remark on him, Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy on Friday said that he was not a clerk of the Congress party, but of the 6.5 crore people of Karnataka.
Speaking to reporters at Birur in Channarayapatna taluk here, Kumaraswamy expressed that the comments made by the BJP president reflect his culture.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi talks of taking action against those possessing black money. But, his party state president offers crores of rupees as a bribe to MLAs to join the BJP. What is the source of this money? If Amit Shah speaks about this, I would appreciate it,” he said.
Responding to a question on the attacks by JD(S) workers on the house of Hassan BJP MLA Preetham J Gowda, Kumaraswamy said that people very well know his nature and that he was not the kind of person who would send his men to kill anyone.
“BJP leaders are trying to portray me in a bad light by using the attacks as a shield. People know who I am and what my nature is,” he added.
Furthe,r he questioned if Preetham Gowda was Bramha (god of creation) to remove the wicket (indicating at death) of former prime minister H D Deve Gowda.
