Bikes collide head on: One dead

Kadaba: A bike rider lost his life while another was grievously injured in an accident in which two bikes collided head on with each other near Marthala along the Dharmasthala – Subrahmanya state highway on Saturday night February 16th.

The deceased bike rider is identified as Elias (43), son of late Ahmed Kunhi, a resident of Shivajinagar in Itturu village.

The other critically injured bike rider is identified as Povappa (38), a resident of Kernadka in Konaje village. He was provided with first aid at the community hospital in Kadaba and later admitted at a hospital in Puttur.

Elias was riding the two wheeler from Marthala to Echilampady, when a bike coming from the opposite direction collided head on with his bike.

Elias is survived by two wives, four sons and two daughters.

His mortal remains have been kept at the community hospital in Kadaba. The location has been visited by Kadaba police for inspection.
